Boo's Story

Meet Boo & Zoe
A perfectly paired duo of gentle souls, 9 years young and bound by a lifetime of friendship.

Boo and Zoo have spent their whole lives side by side, like two cozy bookends keeping each other steady in a sometimes noisy world. While they can be separated, their hearts beat a little calmer when they’re together, and we would absolutely love to see them land in a home where their quiet companionship can continue.

These sweet seniors adore people, but the shelter environment has them feeling like they’ve been dropped into a thunderstorm without an umbrella. The unfamiliar sounds, smells, and hustle have left them scared and unsure… and they’re just waiting for someone to scoop them up and show them that soft couches and gentle voices still exist.

Once they feel safe, you’ll discover who they really are:
Two affectionate, loving kitties who just want a peaceful place to land, a human to trust, and maybe a sunny window where they can sit together and watch the world go by.

If you have a calm home and a little extra room in your heart, Boo & Zoo are ready to trade shelter shadows for warm, quiet days by your side.

This cat is available for adoption from Oceana County Animal Control. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this cat's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact persons in the order they are on the list. The adoption fee is $35 and you receive certificates for $25 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies if not already done.
