She came to us as a transfer from another shelter, so much of her past is a mystery, but it's clear she's feeling a little unsure of the world right now. Boo is looking for a soft, patient home where she can build her confidence one paw at a time. With time, kindness, and a little understanding, this special girl is sure to blossom. Boo may take a little while to open her heart, but for the person who gives her that chance, she will be truly one of a kind.

Mountain Humane's Adoption Policy

Any visitor to the shelter interested in adopting one of the animals is asked to fill out a brief adoption application. In conjunction with the application, we interview all potential adopters with the goal of matching the right animal with the right family and lifestyle. This is of prime importance - we endeavor to make this new home the animal's residence for life! All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped. Fees are as follows: Puppies: $250 Dogs: $150 Senior & Special Needs Dogs: $75 Pure Bred Dogs w/AKC Papers: $500 Kittens: $100 (the second one is free!) Cats: $50 Senior or Special Needs Cats: $25 Barn Cats: $0 Ferret or Chinchilla: $50 Hamsters or Mice: $10 Rabbits: $25
