Boba's Story

Meet Boba!

Boba is a gentle, affectionate adult cat who was tossed out on the streets to fend for herself in rural Eastern Kentucky. We know she once had a family because she came spayed. It was clear that she was a housecat and was being beat up by the other outdoor cats in the community. She suffered a few superficial wounds that have completely healed.

We discovered that it wasn't just other cats being mean to Boba. A human shot poor Boba at least once with a pellet gun. She had a pellet removed from her head right below the ear in a specific spot that could have ended tragically for Boba. Instead, she made her way to us. Despite everything she's been through, Boba remains incredibly sweet, calm, and trusting. She has a laid-back personality and truly enjoys the simple things-especially sitting in front of a window and quietly observing the day unfold. She is also always down for a really good cuddle session. She is definitely a lap cat.

Boba is comfortable around other cats with proper introductions, but she would prefer a home without dogs where she can fully relax. She isn't demanding or high-energy; instead, she's content just being near her people and soaking in a peaceful environment. Her easygoing nature makes her a fantastic choice for a first-time cat owner or anyone looking for a low-key, loving companion. Boba is ready to heal, settle in, and finally enjoy the safe, cozy life she deserves.

Boba will be ready to go home after 2/12.

This cat has been spayed/neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated, combo tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, and is microchipped.

Adoption application:

https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/KYAT/Cat

Many of our animals are pre-approved for adoption before and never make an appearance on Petfinder, so follow us on social media for information on additional animals that are adoptable or soon-to-be adoptable at:

https://m.facebook.com/kyanimaltales/

Instagram: @kyanimaltales
