Kentucky Animal Tales, Inc.

Lexington, KY

Our Mission

K.A.T. will strive to rescue animals from a variety of situations, including, but not limited to, instances where an animal’s welfare is in jeopardy due to abuse, endangerment, and/or neglect. K.A.T. seeks to promote this purpose by coordinating with humane societies, shelters, veterinarian offices, other nonprofits, and/or private persons to intake and subsequently foster, vet, and adopt-out animals. K.A.T. also seeks to promote this purpose by taking in “strays” and/or owner surrenders. K.A.T. has an expansive view of its charitable mission of “animal welfare and rescue efforts.”

In addition to fostering, vetting, and adopting-out animals, K.A.T’s efforts include the spay/neuter of family-owned pets and the Trap, Neuter, and Return (“TNR”) of community/feral/stray cats in order to help end the suffering of animals and ameliorate the systemic animal overpopulation issues within Kentucky. K.A.T. also views “animal rescue efforts” as including educating the public regarding ongoing issues, such as responsible pet ownership and overpopulation. K.A.T. intends to utilize a network of volunteer advocates, local veterinarians, fosters, shelters, and other rescue organizations to further its charitable mission.
