Meet Blue! <br/><br/>When Blue first came back to our rescue, after being with his family for 6 years, he was matted, terrified and very sick. Our veterinarian wasn't sure he was going to survive the serious bout of pneumonia he was fighting. But after 2 months of intense antibiotic therapy, he is now a beautiful, lovely ragdoll-looking kitty! Due to his severe pneumonia, Blue does have some permanent lung damage unfortunately. It causes him to breathe a little faster than normal, but otherwise it doesn’t bother him. <br/><br/>Because he was so matted, we were forced to shave his body to make him comfortable. He will require daily grooming with regular visits to a grooming salon to help keep his beautiful long fur in tip top shape! He does tolerate grooming fairly well so most of his grooming needs can be done yourself. Due to his unknown trauma, Blue can have accidents on carpet, so he will need a home without carpet. <br/><br/>You will never meet a sweeter, more gentle soul than Blue (Blueberry.) His foster mom says, in all her years of fostering, she’s never met another cat with a soul as gentle as this special boy. He gets along with everyone he meets and just wants to be close to his humans. During the day he snuggles with the family dog while waiting for his foster mom to finish her work shift. <br/><br/>** Blue needs a calm, quiet, indoor-only home, preferably with another calm, gentle pet to keep him company. He doesn't require much to be a happy cat. He needs his daily wet food, a daily brushing session and lots of cuddles. He doesn't like being picked up or restrained but will come find a comfy spot next to you so he can get the affection he craves. **<br/><br/>Blueberry gets along with other cats, gentle, well-mannered dogs and older children.
