Summer is here! Warmer weather is here and so are lots of kittens and older cats that need homes! Please consider adopting- especially some of our older residents! Maybe even two kittens or cats? Maybe for my brother, Twizzler too? Twizzler is a long haired brown & white tabby kitty who has a listing too! <br/>I'm hoping you might have some extra space for me (or both of us) because I could really use extra cuddles right now. The people at the shelter are wonderful and give me lots of love, but there are so many kitties here, and it's hard to get all the attention I'm used to. <br/><br/>My life wasn't always at the shelter. I used to have a real home! Twizzler and I had a wonderful person who loved us. One day, our whole world shattered when our owner unexpectedly passed away. Suddenly, the only home we'd ever known was gone, and we were left feeling confused and heartbroken. We didn't understand why our person wasn't there to hold us anymore. We do now and we're very sad, but are feeling a little better now. Luckily, we ended up at the shelter and not on the streets! But, I would love to get out of here, especially with Twizzler! We hate thinking back to how scary it was to lose everything we loved, but we are safe and taken care of now. Our broken hearts are starting to heal, so we are ready for a new chapter! <br/>We would absolutely love to find a home together, but we can also be adopted separatel. We just both want to be part of a family again! <br/>Even though I have been through so much sadness, I still love pets! I just want a second chance at a forever home with a person who will love me for the rest of my life. I love food! I love toys! And I get sooo happy and purrrrrry when someone gives me attention! I have a very soft coat that's really long, so I would need to be brushed occasionally.I am such a sweet boy, just like my brother. I can't wait to cuddle up next to my new person in a comfy chair. I would be the most wonderful lap kitty and your best friend forever! I have so much love saved up for someone who will love me back.<br/><br/>Please make an appointment to meet me at the shelter! I am very gentle and I do like other kitties, so if you have another cat already, we should be able to get along perfectly (with a proper introduction period, of course!). Because I'm a sweet boy, older kids are probably okay, but I'm not entirely sure how I feel about dogs yet. <br/><br/>If you are looking for two special kitties, please consider adopting me and my brother Twizzler, too! We are okay apart, but we would love to start our next chapter together. Our volunteers work with shy and/or unsocialized kitties everyday to gain their trust to show them they are safe and no one will hurt them. However, when the kitties go to a new home, some will require extra time to get used to new surroundings and different people. Please consider giving a kittie who might need a little time to get used to a new home, a chance. This is a serious commitment and it sets the kitties back in their level of trust if they are given up after a few weeks or months.
