Blackie's Story

Hi! I’m Blackie, a kitten with a tale of magic. One night, under a shimmering moon, a gentle breeze swept through our home, carrying whispers of a safe haven for me, my mom Lindie, and my siblings. Guided by the twinkling stars, we found our way to this cozy shelter. Here, I play and snuggle all day, spreading joy with my sweet purrs. If you're looking for a playful and loving companion to fill your days with laughter and warmth, I’m just the kitten for you! Let’s create our own magical story together.

Note from Paws humans: When Lindie and her kittens arrived at the shelter they were in pretty bad shape. The kittens were infested with fleas, which can actually kill little kittens. Obviously we bathed the kittens right away, and when they were big enough everyone got flea meds, which we apply monthly to all the cats and bigger kittens at our shelter. Lindie had such a severe case of ear mites that it caused a hematoma in her one ear, which is evident in all the photos. Her ear will never return to normal, but we treated the ear mites right away, and she now has a clean bill of health. The kittens are all incredibly sweet, friendly, and playful and would be wonderful additions to any family. Remember, two kittens are three times the fun! To apply to adopt any of our cats or kittens, please visit our website and fill out our on-line application at https://www.pawsurbana.org/apply-to-adopt.

We do not do same-day adoptions, as we have an adoption application which must be completed and verified. We also require that all of the cats and kittens adopted from us must be kept exclusively indoors.
