Bitty's Story

Welcome Itty Bitty Kitty (AKA Bitty)! Bitty came to us several months ago in rough shape, and we never thought she'd be adoptable due to her medical issues (at the time). She's come such a long way, her coat is now shiny, healthy and her previous life is a thing of the past.

We know Bitty's story from her previous caretaker and here it is-

She was tnr'd as a young cat and her right ear is what's called a cauliflower ear due to a severe ear infection. She does not let that bother her. Bitty is very shy and reserved and would do best in a very quiet household. She would also love windows to look out of or a cat tree or two to climb up into and watch birds and any other exciting things.

Bitty is an INDOOR ONLY senior cat. She deserves the rest of her life to be cared for and loved without having to fend for much. Bitty loves her catnip toys, she will chirp and drool if she has your attention, rubbing her face on the catnip while purring and stretching and rolling around when she feels comfortable. It's taken several months to gain her trust; she now is right at the front of the door every morning waiting to be talked to and waits like a lady for her breakfast to be prepared. Bitty uses an automatic cat water fountain, as well as a smaller dish of water to make sure her intake is on track. Bitty will take some time to trust a new person, but we are confident that she will! Bitty is thought to be 13-15 years young. Bitty was diagnosed with a heart concern, she is on medication for this, and all her vet records are available, (to include her echocardiogram).

Bitty is available through our foster to adopt program. She is vaccinated, microchipped and is housetrained. We will be very picky with her forever home as we want to make sure, she will be successful. She is a beautiful tuxedo granny, and we look forward to hearing from her potential forever human. Bitty can cohabitate with other cats that do not overwhelm her (she currently shares space with an adult female cat who offers her space). Bitty would do best in a no dog and adult home only, she is partial to females.

Please no texts, emails or phone calls. To learn more about our process please see that "about us" on this Petfinder page. Our foster form is more geared towards dogs (we are new to the cat placement) please fill out to the best of your ability.

Charlie's Foundation's Adoption Policy
Wanting to adopt a Senior? We'd like to tell you about our Adoption Process. All of us are volunteers and no one is paid. We do the best that we can to respond as timely as possible, but we also have our own animals, children, spouses, jobs, families, and homes - just like you. So, please be patient with us. 1. APPLICATION The first step in being considered to adopt a senior companion pet from us is to fill out our adoption application located under the "Forms" tab. If you found one of our dogs or cats on Petfinder.com or RescueMe.org you still need to fill out our online application as that is only an inquiry. It may take several days or weeks before we are able to get your application processed. During this time, please make sure that you contact your vet and references to let them know that we will be calling. We realize that our online application can be temperamental and sometimes cell phones or Ipads won't let you complete the form. We ask that you use a desktop computer and that should fix the issue. 2. REVIEW PROCESS Once your application has been reviewed, we may contact you by email or phone to verify information or ask for clarification. 3. PHONE INTERVIEW If/when we have a senior that would be a great fit for you and your family, we will call you and your references. At that time we will ask many questions and we hope you do too. 4. MEET-AND-GREET If you are approved, we will arrange a meet-and-greet. This gives all family members and pets a chance to meet, we ask that all family members are present. Please note: You and your family will be required to travel to the city where the senior dog or cat resides. We do not transport our dogs or cats to potential adopters. 5. ADOPTION If the meet-and-greet goes well and all agree, the adoption paperwork is finalized and your new family member may go home with you that very same day.
