Biscuit (bonded with Panini)'s Story

**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**

***Biscuit met Panini in foster, and have become fast friends. The two help each other to settle and feel secure, so must go home together.

Biscuit rocks her tuxedoed good looks with ease. With a white bib, tiny white toe socks on her front feet and a white smile underlining her lips, she is as adorable as they come and she knows it! A little older than Panini, Biscuit is the braver one of the duo, and her curiosity prompts her to explore her space and seek out new niches or observe the happenings around the house.

Still making up her mind about the humans constantly in her new world, Biscuit prefers to lie near you, but at a distance she needs for now to feel comfortable. She usually runs away when you try to approach her except when she’s sleeping, then she will accept gentle pets while her guards are relaxed. It’s a matter of time before the distance will get shorter, and being petted will be welcomed.

Biscuit loves to play and is really good at catching the flying wands, hunting the toys, or chasing after the laser dot. She loves wet food and Churus, is the more treat-motivated one out of the pair, and more open to being bribed though she makes you work for it!

The girls have only been in foster for a short month, but the progress from living in a colony to navigating the indoor space has been huge and promising. Time and patience, a lot of gentle love enhanced by treats, will crumble the instinctive walls they put up automatically as a defence mechanism. They are young, resilient, and deserving of a safe haven and comfortable life now that hunger, predation and uncertainty has been removed from their existence. Give them a chance to shine, and watch how lovely they are when they truly settle into your world.

Would you like to make Panini and Biscuit a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: https://www.avacats.org/adoption-application-form.

Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, first-round of age-appropriate vaccines at the time of adoption, flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.

Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.

All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
