Birdie's Story

Birdie: Tiny Warrior, Enormous Heart

Don't be deceived by her pint-sized frame—Birdie (4 months, female) packs more courage, curiosity, and charm into her little body than some cats three times her size. The smallest kitten in her litter? Absolutely. The bravest? Without question.
This fearless little explorer approaches life with the confidence of a lion and the playfulness of, well, a kitten. Nothing intimidates Birdie. New toy? She's already claimed it. Mysterious rustling sound? She's investigating. Tall cat tree? Challenge accepted. Every day with Birdie is an adventure, and she throws herself into playtime with infectious enthusiasm that will have you laughing and reaching for your phone to capture her antics.
But here's the magic: when the zoomies end and the toys are scattered across the floor, Birdie transforms. This bold little adventurer becomes the sweetest snuggle bug, melting into your hands with purrs that rumble from somewhere deep in her tiny chest. She accepts affection like it's her birthright, settling in as if she's always belonged to you. And if you happen to produce a treat? Congratulations, you have just become her favorite person in the entire world. Birdie is highly food-motivated and will eagerly demonstrate her very best sitting-prettily-and-looking-adorable skills for even the smallest snack.
Birdie comes as a package deal with her bonded brother, Tux, because the best adventures are shared ones. They play together, comfort each other, and will fill your home with twice the entertainment, twice the purrs, and twice the love.
Ready to welcome a mighty, treat-loving, purr-machine into your life? Birdie is ready to make you hers.

The Lucky Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a multi-step adoption process. While we try to process our adoptions as quickly as possible, our cats are very important to us, so we do our best to ensure they go to homes that will be the best possible fit for them. * Adoption application: we have a 1 page application, requesting landlord pet policy verification (if renting), personal references, and a veterinarian reference (if you currently have other pets) * Meet and greet: we ask that all members of the household meet the cat in person before adoption. This makes sure the cat is a good fit for everyone. * Home delivery: we will deliver the cat to you, and will help you get the cat settled in its new home! This also serves as a low-key "home check," so please be prepared to allow us inside the home. That will also make it more comfortable for all of us as we finish up the paperwork and walk you through your new cat's vet records! * Return policy: we will take any of our cats back at any time and for any reason. As part of our adoption contract, if you are ever no longer able to keep the cat, we expect the cat to be returned to us (please do not try to re-home them yourself). Due to our home deliveries and return policies, with rare exceptions we do not adopt to homes outside of New Jersey. Thank you for understanding.
