Birdie was found on a farm outside the GTA with a litter of new born kittens.
Now that the kittens have all found their forever homes, Birdie has been spayed and is looking for a home of her own!

Named for her habit of perching on her former fosters shoulders, Birdie is a sweet and affectionate tabbico kitty that loves to snuggle with her humans and play with plush catnip toys.
She currently lives in an apartment with her fosters and their resident cat, Wendy.

Though she loves attention and has little concept of personal space, Birdie does get stressed around her fosters resident cat and can get spicy when overstimulated.

She is a very people oriented cat and would be happy as an only as long as she had lots of human attention.
Birdie would not do well being left alone for long periods of time

Birdie would do best in a home without young children or other cats.

Abbey Cat Adoptions's Adoption Policy
**Kitten Policy** Please note: Kittens require the companionship of other kittens and the younger the kitten the more this is so. It is a developmental need. If you do not have animals at home and you only want one cat please look at kittens 6 months or older. By this time in their life we know which cats need the companionship of other animals and which ones would prefer to live without other animals. We provide an adoption service and want to match the right cat with the right home. It is against Abbey Cat policy to adopt a single kitten under the age of 6 months to a home without other young cats/kittens for company. Please bear this in mind when calling to adopt. *** Due to an unprecedented demand (especially for kittens) we regret that we are unable to respond by phone to all of the applications we are currently receiving. We are only able at this time to phone those applicants who have sent in an online adoption application, can provide a vet reference and their criteria matches what the particular cat or kittens' needs are. We regret any inconvenience caused as we do our best to meet the overwhelming demand we are currently experiencing*****
