Binx's Story

Poor Binx. After only a year and a half, she is once again in need of a loving home due to her human suffering from addiction and needing long term treatment.
This young, tortoiseshell beauty has had a tough path and would love to find her forever home. As a kitten she was neglected by her caretaker who abandoned her after surviving a house fire. Luckily, Bordentown City Cats volunteers were able to rescue her from the ruins of that house where for about 6 months, she had been living by herself, in dangerous and unsanitary conditions. When finally found, Binx was very underweight and scared. It was lucky that BCC was made aware of the situation, and that we were able to get Binx back in February before kitten season really heated up. Because it was winter, and a slower time for kitten births, we were able to get her into a foster home that could give her time to come out of her shell and learn to trust people again. After her rescue, Binx was cared for in a foster home with other feline friends. Her foster parents described Binx as “very sweet and clever, she loves mealtime and other cats!”
Binx is considered "special needs" due to the trauma she has suffered. She will require a longer period of adjustment in order to trust again.
