Billy came to us after being found as a stray, and he's been patiently waiting since June 16th, 2026 for his second chance. Billy is a sweet boy that we are still getting to know. While he can be a little reserved at first, he is friendly once he warms up and begins to feel comfortable. Because of this, Billy may benefit from a patient adopter who can give him the time he needs to fully settle in and build trust. With understanding and kindness, we believe Billy's wonderful personality will continue to shine through as he gains confidence in his new home. Billy is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Capital Area Humane Society's Adoption Policy

The purpose of our adoption criteria is to ensure a consistent, fair process and to provide every potential adopter with an equal opportunity to welcome a new pet into their home. All animals are adopted to individuals who agree to follow the guidelines outlined in the adoption contract. Adopters must be at least 18 years of age and are required to complete an adoption questionnaire, as well as provide valid identification and proof of current residence. Pets are placed in homes where they will be cared for primarily as indoor companions, and adopters must commit to providing lifelong care, including proper food, water, shelter, and regular exercise. Animals may be adopted as gifts in accordance with our gift adoption policy. Additionally, to ensure the safety and well-being of our animals, we do not proceed with adoptions to individuals who appear to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
