Bijoux's Story

Bijoux is a beautiful young cat who came into our care in the fall of 2025 after being found in a rural cottage country area. We believe she was likely abandoned by her previous family. Despite her circumstances, Bijoux did exactly what a devoted mama does — she sought out humans for food and safety for her four kittens. Thanks to that, we were able to bring Bijoux and all of her kittens into care.

The family went straight into foster care, where the kittens were raised safely and Bijoux was spayed. All have since been spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped.

While Bijoux did her job as a mother, she made it clear as her kittens grew that she was ready to move on from motherhood. Now, she’s enjoying her independence and looking for a home where she can truly relax and be herself. Bijoux has moved foster homes a few times through no fault of her own, and we are hopeful that her next home will be her forever one.

In her current foster home, Bijoux prefers spending time in the basement, choosing distance from the other cats and dogs while she continues to build confidence. She enjoys being petted, loves calm attention, and happily participates in treat time — even if she prefers to do so from a comfortable distance.

Bijoux would do best in a quiet home without young children. Ideally, she would be the only animal in the household, where she can feel secure and stress-free. With slow, thoughtful introductions, she may be able to live with other cats or dogs, but she would thrive most as the centre of attention.

Bijoux is a sensitive, gentle soul who deserves patience, stability, and understanding. In return, she offers quiet companionship and a special bond with the person who gives her the chance to feel safe again.

For more information or to arrange a meet-and-greet with Bijoux, please email tnr.lapeche@gmail.com.

--

Voici Bijoux
Femelle | Jeune adulte

At TNR La Pêche, we have a thorough adoption process to ensure that each cat finds a loving and responsible home that meets their needs. Adoption Process: 1. Application Submission – Potential adopters must complete an adoption application, providing details about their home, lifestyle, and experience with pets. 2. Application Review – Our team carefully reviews each application to ensure a good match between the adopter and the cat. 3. Interview & Discussion – We may contact applicants for a follow-up discussion to clarify details and ensure they understand our adoption policies. 4. Home Environment Consideration – We require that all adopted cats live indoors only to ensure their safety and well-being. 5. Meet & Greet – If the application is approved, adopters have the opportunity to meet the cat and ask any questions before finalizing the adoption. 6. Adoption Agreement & Fee – Approved adopters sign an adoption contract agreeing to provide proper care, and they pay an adoption fee that helps cover veterinary expenses. 7. Transition Support – We provide guidance on introducing the cat to their new home and remain available for post-adoption support. Our goal is to ensure the best possible match for both the cat and the adopter, leading to a successful and lifelong adoption.
