Betty Crocker's Story
Meet Betty Crocker - Gentle, Sweet, and Quietly Brave

Betty Crocker is a soft, sensitive soul with a heart full of love once you earn her trust. She was rescued from an abandoned Chicago building with her sister, Sara Lee, huddled together with their ten babies, facing the world as a team. Now that the babies are grown, Betty loves perching up near a window to oversee all the playfullness unfold around her.

Betty Crocker is the shyer of the pair. She can be a little skittish at first and prefers a calm, patient approach. With a bit of time and gentle reassurance, she blossoms into a loving companion who truly enjoys being pet and spending quiet moments with her people. Once she feels comfortable and safe with you, she also enjoys being held like a baby, relaxing into your arms and accepting affection on her own terms. Loud noises, especially the vacuum, can send her into hiding, but given space and understanding, she comfortably comes back out when she feels safe. Chin scratches are also her favorite thing.

One of Betty Crocker's most memorable momma moments came when she decided her babies needed extra protection and singlepawedly moved all of them into a corner of the basement to hide them somewhere she deemed safer. It's a perfect snapshot of who she is: cautious, deeply devoted, and always putting her family first.

Betty Crocker is not aggressive at all and would likely do fine with other animals, given slow and respectful introductions. Betty Crocker is looking for a home that values patience, kindness, and the beauty of a shy cat learning she is safe and loved.

Come and meet me @ St. Charles Petco (3853 E Main St, St Charles) Pro Tip: Submit an application beforehand for a seamless adoption process!

Adoption Information

Prior to adoption, every cat in our care is spayed or neutered, microchipped, given age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for parasites, and combo-tested for FIV/FeLV.
