Bert's Story

Bert

Meet Bert... one half of a friendship as timeless as the iconic Sesame Street duo he shares his name with. Just like Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street, this handsome 2 year old boy and his best friend Ernie have been through life side by side....and we're hoping their next adventure is one they can continue together.

After being surrendered by his former owner, Bert is ready for a fresh start with a family who understands that some friendships are simply meant to last forever. Whether he's lounging in a sunny window, keeping an eye on the household, or relaxing beside his best buddy, Bert brings quiet charm, companionship, and a whole lot of heart.

Bert is around 2 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. More than anything, he's hoping to find a home where he and Ernie can stay together....because life is just better with your best friend by your side.

Could Bert (and Ernie!) be the perfect addition to your family?

Heal Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy
If you are interested in any of our adoptable animals, please call or email the shelter at 724-925-2555 or info@healanimalrescue.org to schedule a time for a meet and greet with the animal of which you are interested. You will also need to fill out an adoption application. Our shelter staff and adoption counselors will review your information to see if you are a good match for the pet you have selected. Please allow yourself about an hour to have the proper time to spend with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning your specific pet and making a lifetime commitment. Please remember our number one goal and priority is finding FOREVER homes for the dogs and cats in our care and matching the right pet with the right home environment. Submitting an application does not guarantee adoption. Some pets receive multiple applications and we do our best to sort through to find the absolute best match possible.
