Bernadette's Story

Bernadette is an extremely chatty and very sweet and affectionate, 1 year old Domestic Short Hair that was brought to SCAC when her previous owner had too many animals to properly care for. Bernadette enjoys playing on the catio, climbing the cat shelves, chasing a laser pointer, having a conversation with anybody willing to listen, and of course soaking up all the attention she can. Second Chance Animal Center's Adoption Policy

Second Chance has an online adoption application process for cats, dogs, and small critters. Veterinarian and landlord contact information is required on all applications. Once application is submitted, it may take several days for us to follow up with all appropriate contact information. We will initially respond via email but feel free to call us directly with any follow-up questions. We always encourage potential adopters to submit an application in advance of your visit to our shelter. Same-day feline adoptions are possible with pre-approved applications. Canine adoptions take several visits as dog-to-dog and family meet-and-greets are required.
