Bellini's Story

Are you looking for a cat who will be by your side through thick and thin? Bellini loves her people fiercely and lives to show her affection for others as much as she can. In her foster home, she's been known to patiently follow them around until they're ready to sit down and provide a lap and some snuggles. She doesn't always know when you are truly sitting down for the day, or if you are simply bending over to pick up something. She's optimistic and would never pass up any potential opportunity for lap time. At night, she's a wonderful bed partner (I couldn't think of a better term for it, sorry!) and enjoys sleeping on a separate pillow next to her foster caregiver's head.

Bellini was a stray kitty, so her background isn't certain, but she seems to have some years under her belt. She's not the best at jumping up as high as the younger cats. I diagnosed her with Old Lady Bones (I am not a vet nor do I claim to be one, this is a joke). This makes her determined affection all the more endearing. She's also on the smaller side, making her the cutest little girl. She may be small, but that doesn't stop her from befriending even the largest of dogs. If they let her, she loves to rub up against them and sniff and lick in their ear (the dogs don't always love that). She would gladly share a home with a dog or two if a human isn't always available.

When Bellini isn't sharing her time with another, she loves to sunbathe and watch Cat TV out the window. She can be playful, but she usually would rather just watch the fun while she suns herself or warms up on a heating pad and some fuzzy blankets. She also has a great appetite, when you find a food she's into. She's not horribly picky, but there are certain flavors or textures she's less than thrilled about. The food she likes, she will be very enthusiastic about and her foster caregiver can give you the menu Bellini has approved (both dry and wet are on it!). She doesn't meow much, but when she does its very soft and a little hoarse. She is most likely to meow in response to food or when she'd like you to know she's here and ready for snuggle time.

Bellini is ready for a person who will love her just as fiercely back. She makes it really easy, all you have to do is take her home!

"If you're interested in Bellini, please contact A.W.W. by calling or texting 715-501-3000, emailing at rescue.aww@gmail.com, messaging our Facebook page, or check our website www.animalwelfarewi.org to fill out an adoption application. *Our website is up and running NOW.
