Bellestar's Story
Hi there, my name is Bellestar and I am looking for a new home through PAWS-OK. They rescued me, my mom, and my three littermates from the Bethany Shelter in April. We all had caught upper respiratory infections there and mine was the most severe - affecting my eyes especially. For a while we though possibly my right eye would need to be removed, but the doc, at the time I was spayed, said it was healthy, just fogged over, and suggested a steriod ointment to help it. As of this bio, we are working on it. The eye gives me no trouble. I love to play with my siblings and do all kitten related things. (I don't like the ointment much though!)<br/>UPDATE 1/1/25: The steroid ointment didn't resolve the issue as we hoped. Anyone considering adopting her should already be established with a veterinarian and have the finances to remove the eye if it becomes necessary. Generally speaking eye removals can run anywhere between $500 - $900.
