Bella-ab's Story

Bella is one of four kitten siblings that were rescued from a community cat colony that SPOT has now completely TNR’d. This sweet girl is still learning to trust and embrace human care, and will need a family willing to be patient and work with her on this. She already has made great progress over the past couple of month in her foster home. She accepts pets and purrs when she is feeling safe. She gets a lot of comfort and security by being near her sister, Bambi, who is also listed on Petfinder. Bambi and Bella's brothers have found a wonderful family that is looking forward to welcoming them, and now its the girls turn!

We always ensure potential adoptees are familiar with the 3-3-3 rule when adopting a new animal to their family: it can take 3 days for initial decompression (feeling overwhelmed, hiding), 3 weeks to learn routines and start bonding (personality emerges), and 3 months for feeling truly comfortable and integrated, building trust and security.

Due to her young age, Bella requires a home with at least one other young cat or kitten companion. Applications for a double adoption of Bella and her sister will be prioritized, as we try to keep siblings together as much as possible. We understand there are wonderful families looking to add just one more feline companion to their home as well, and we will also consider these applications.

Bella is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, has tested negative for FIV & FeLV, and has received flea treatment and deworming. Her adoption fee is $175, and we offer a $25 discount on the adoption of a pair of kitties. If you are interested in meeting Bella, please fill out an application at www.savingpetsoneatatime.org.

Thank you for considering a rescued kitten!
