Bebe's Story

Hello world! My name is Bebe, and Im a very special kitty. I know this is a bit of a long post, but I have a big story to tell and I really hope youll read to the end and help share it so I can find my forever family!

If you're looking for a cat with personality, Im your girl. I am easily one of the most outgoing cats at the shelter. I can play all day long, show off my impressive zoomies, or help you dust the house with my magnificent, fluffy tail. Once I finally burn off all that energy, Ill find the absolute coziest spot in your house to curl up for a good nap.

While I am absolutely gorgeous, I do have some unique medical needs. I have Feline Herpes Virus, which I likely contracted as a tiny kitten before coming to the shelter. Ive been here for just under a year now while my amazing caretakers have worked hard to get me healthy and strong. Don't worry about me being lonely, though, I'm a massive staff favorite here and get showered with endless love and attention every single day!

Important notes from my team:
To make sure Bebe thrives, she ideally needs to be the only cat in the home. While her virus is currently dormant, stress can cause minor flare-ups where she could become contagious to other felines. However, she could happily live with a very calm, chill dog!
Because stress can trigger her symptoms, Bebe requires a peaceful, low-stress environment. A quiet home without young children would be perfect for her.
Her condition is wonderfully managed! She just needs a quick dose of prescription eye drops once a day, which she will likely need for the rest of her life.
She loves her food! She currently eats Purina One or Purina Gentle dry food, along with a daily serving of wet food (Fancy Feast is her favorite, but she isn't picky).

If you think Bebe is the missing piece to your quiet, loving home, please submit an adoption application! Responsiblepetcare.org/cats

Please Note: To ensure a smooth transition, all potential adopters must speak with our Vet Tech before taking Bebe home. 207-743-8679. Our Vet Tech is available Monday through Friday, which means BeBe cannot go home on the same day if you come to visit her over the weekend.
Let's get this beautiful girl the happily ever after she deserves!
