BEAU's Story

Beau is so excited—and honestly, we are too!

Four months ago, Beau arrived in our care with severe facial injuries after an encounter with another animal. Because of the nature of his wounds, he was required by law to complete a four-month rabies quarantine. This precaution ensures that he was not exposed to the rabies virus during the incident.

While this quarantine is a significant commitment for any shelter, it’s one we are proud to provide to ensure the safety and well-being of both our animals and the community.

Throughout his stay, Beau has been an absolute love. He happily greets us with sweet head butts, weaves between your feet, and will even stand up on your leg just to ask for a little extra attention. While he’s not much for playing with toys, Beau is perfectly content lounging at the top of his cat tree, quietly watching the world go by.

Beau is FIV positive, and our staff will be happy to speak with interested adopters about what that means for his care.

Now, after four long months, Beau is finally ready to leave that chapter behind and begin his next adventure—finding a loving forever home. OTHER PETS: We are unsure how Beau would be with other pets. OWNER EXPERIENCE: Beau is a easy kitty to love. KIDS: Older kiddos must meet. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Beau is the king of couch potato's. VETERINARY CARE: Due to Beau's FIV status, it is important that he receive annual vet exams. LEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION: We expect Beau to move pretty easily into his new home. GROOMING: Beau will require regular brushing.
