Baby Beau had a rough start on life. His mama dropped him off on someone’s front porch and never returned for him, likely because she knew he wouldn’t thrive outdoors in his condition. Luckily the good samaritan who found him on her porch acted quickly to find him help. He had a terrible eye infection upon intake and we weren’t even sure his eyes were salvageable.<br/><br/>After weeks of eye drops and TLC, we learned that he had 1 fully functioning eye! His right eye has limited vision, especially in his peripheral, but he doesn’t let that slow him down whatsoever. He does all of the kitten things fearlessly- running around, jumping, tearing up and down the steps, playing with all the toys and interacting with cats bigger than him. He’s a very happy go lucky little guy!<br/><br/>Baby Beau is so sweet and thankful for a second chance on life. He will sleep on your chest whenever he can, or at your feet- he’s still teething so he will nibble on your toes He is easily redirectable when given a toy to chew on instead. He knows what opening a can of cat food sounds like and despite his size, this little guy does not miss a meal! <br/><br/>Baby Beau is great with tiny humans and other cats. We always recommend kittens have a playmate, but he was brought in as a singleton and he really does well playing all by himself- his own tail is one of his favorite toys!
