Bearclaw's Story
Meet Bearclaw!

Don't let his tiny size fool you--Bearclaw has the heart of a lion. This adorable little guy is a true survivor who has overcome a very rough start in life with incredible determination and resilience. Now healthy, happy, and thriving, he's finally ready to find the loving forever family he's worked so hard to reach.

Bearclaw is as sweet as they come. The moment you pick him up, his tiny motor starts rumbling, rewarding you with a nonstop purr that lets you know just how grateful he is for love and kindness. He enjoys cozy naps, gentle cuddles, and discovering the world one playful adventure at a time.

Following his recent neuter surgery, Bearclaw developed ataxia (a wobbly gait) and tail hyperextension. While many kittens improve over time, his recovery is still ongoing, and the long-term outcome is uncertain. Despite this, Bearclaw doesn't let it dampen his spirit--he continues to play, explore, cuddle, and enjoy life with the same sweet, resilient attitude that has carried him this far. His adopters should be prepared to monitor his progress and provide any follow-up veterinary care he may need.

This little engine that could has already proven he's stronger than anyone ever expected. Now all he needs is a family to show him that the rest of his story can be filled with comfort, love, and plenty of snuggles.

If you're looking for a kitten with an inspiring spirit, a heart full of love, and the resilience to overcome life's challenges, Bearclaw is ready to steal yours.

If you are interested in meeting Bearclaw, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am - 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours).
