Bear (Spayed) (Empty-Nester)'s Story
Bear is a beautiful 3-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on March 26, 2026 along with her two 2-week old kittens (Kenai and Koda) because their family had too many cats and were unable to take care of them.

Bear has a gray short-haired coat, a long tail, and a pretty face with golden eyes, a gray velvet nose, and long gray whiskers.

Bear was given vaccinations on March 27th 2026. She was given booster vaccines on April 21st 2026.

Bear was combo tested on March 26th and was negative for feline leukemia, FIV/Feline Immuno-Deficiency Virus, and Heartworm .. which is also great news for her kittens.

Bear has a sweet, easygoing personality. She was a wonderful role model for her two little boys, and she raised them to be happy, socialized/playful youngsters .. And she also accepted an orphan kitten (Tug) whom she raised with her biological kittens. Kenai, Koda, and Tug were separated from Momma Bear after they were weaned .. And they have continued to be a dynamic threesome who are sharing a double-wide cage (smile).

Bear was spayed on May 19th 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine. She weighed 8 lbs that day.

Like so many mother cats, Momma Bear is truly amazing. Bear accepted a few more orphaned kittens after she raised Kenai, Koda, and Tug. Her latest 'foster kitten' is Wasabi (who was a very frightened little boy and is now pretty sweet/playful).

Her biological kittens (Kenai and Koda) were neutered on July 6th 2026 and were adopted together on July 8th 2026.

Happy Update: Bear was reunited with Kenai and Koda on July 9th when their new family officially adopted Momma Bear (smile).

Note on Bear's foster kittens: Tug was also neutered on July 6th, and he is still looking for a home. Wasabi will be neutered in the near future (tentatively on August 3rd) and will be ready to find his forever home.
