Bean's Story

Meet Bean!
Bean is a 4 year old girl who was surrendered because she was very fearful in the home. She spent most of her time hiding and would hiss when people tried to approach. She did not feel safe. With a young child in the home, this was not the right fit.
Over the past 2 months, Bean has been given the time and space she needed, and she is making nice progress. She is now coming up to staff to solicit attention, enjoys playing with wand toys, and accepts pets.
That said, Bean is still very much a "on her terms" kind of cat. She enjoys petting in small doses, and she will tell you with her body language when she has had enough.
Bean is looking for a calm, quiet home with no young children, and someone who understands that building trust with her is going to take patience and a thoughtful approach. For the right person, Bean is going to be really special.
If you have any questions about Bean, please email cats@rispca.org.
