Beaker's Story

Meet Beaker...a resilient little boy! He arrived at our shelter as a scared five-month-old kitten in August 2025. He was found after living his kittenhood in a hotel parking lot. He had to overcome some health issues after being diagnosed with FIP and he is now a happy and healthy cat ready for a home!<br/><br/>Beaker enjoys exploring in our Kitty Kottage. While he is shy around new people, he is the sweetest boy. He loves to be held like a baby or up on your chest with his paws on your shoulder. He is also very playful and does well with other cats (yes he can be with other cats). Beaker would make a very special companion. Consider coming to meet him.

Humane Society of Lake County's Adoption Policy
All potential adopters must complete an Adoption Application. HSLC staff will review all applications and reserve the right to deny any application. All adopters must provide a valid photo ID and must be at least 18 years old. Dog Adoption Fee: $150.00 ($200 for dogs completing training program) Includes up-to-date vaccines (for their age), microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm tested and on flea & tick preventatives. Any dog waiting to be spayed or neutered can be pre-adopted. That dog may not go home until after it has been spayed or neutered. Dog Adoption Application: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LCFL/Dog Cat Adoption Fee: $75.00 Includes up-to-date vaccines (for their age), microchip, spay/neuter, FeLV and FIV tested and on flea & tick preventatives. Any cat waiting to be spayed or neutered can be pre-adopted. That cat may not go home until after it has been spayed or neutered.
