Hi! I am Baxter - a precocious and curious gray tabby cat. I came to the shelter during a cold snap of weather after suffering frostbite on my poor ears. My ears have healed for the most part with some damage on the edges. This doesn't affect my spirit though - I am spunky, outgoing and friendly. I love to be pet and I am not shy to ask for affection. I have adorable chunky cheeks and a larger than life personality. <br/><br/>I am neutered, and I am up to date on my vaccines - distemper and rabies. I have been FIV/Feline Leukemia tested and I am negative for both. I receive routine flea and tick preventatives, monthly as well as some well deserved pampering periodically: brushing, nail trims & ear cleaning.<br/><br/>My ideal home includes a quiet and calm home. I tolerate other kitties without issue however I am selective on male kitties. I am doing better with this since I was neutered. I do not know how I would do with dogs. I would do best in a home with kids who understand boundaries. <br/><br/>I need a family that is caring, compassionate and loving. I want a family that is patient, willing to give me what I need: a warm bed, plenty of good food & clean water, and good ol' pets and love. Once I warm up, I enjoy being pet and loved on. I also like to be in front of a window catching warm sun rays & watching the world go by. <br/><br/>My shelter family works tirelessly to ensure I and my friends go to the right family.
