Bat & Rory's Story
Bat and Rory are two bonded cats. Bat aka Martin is a grey and white male and about 7 months old. Rory is an all dark grey female and is about 3 months old. Bat was rescued with his siblings from a backyard in Bayonne in October 2025, right before Halloween. He is super outgoing and very social. He loves Rory and people.

Rory was rescued from a yard with her feral mother. After nursing, mom was tired and Rory went into foster with Bat. They got along quickly and love playing.

All kittens must be adopted in pairs or to a home with an existing pet. CAP strongly believes in the need for cat to have companionship. They thrive on interacting with other pets and firm strong bonds.

We strongly advise that no cat be placed in the company of children without supervision; nor should any cat or dog be put with a new pet without proper introduction and transition. It can be very traumatic for any pet to be incorrectly introduced to other unknown pets without proper separation and a slow, monitored introduction. We trust you will respect this recommendation and take all measures to carefully introduce a new pet to a resident pet.

The first step to the adoption process is to complete the adoption application. Follow directions below and complete all sections. Once reviewed, we will schedule a virtual interview and home visit. If you are approved, we will then arrange a meet and greet where you can spend time interacting with the cat. Submitting an interest inquiry through Petfinder without a completed application will delay the process.

Adoption application can be found on our website. Follow directions to submit.

www.companionanimalplacement.org

Cat Adoption Donation is $250 per cat/$425 for a pair.
We graciously accept more.

Includes:
Spay/neuter
Rabies vaccine
3 series of distemper vaccine
Testing FeLV (feline leukemia) and FIV (feline FIV)
Deworming (parasites)
Flea treatment
Rabies
Microchip
And anything else that is necessary!!

We are the only rescue group in the area that does this much medical with the lowest adoption fee.
