Basil's Story
Basil is one very special little guy with an even bigger heart. He came to us as a tiny bottle baby, just a few days old, and has grown into the sweetest, most affectionate companion. His absolute favorite place is curled up on a cozy lap, and if you're watching TV, reading, or working from home, Basil will happily keep you company. At bedtime, he'd love nothing more than to snuggle up with his person.
As a kitten, Basil was diagnosed with congenital megaesophagus, which means he needs a little extra care around mealtimes. Thankfully, Basil and his foster family have found a routine that works wonderfully for him, and he is feeling great and thriving!
Basil eats wet food in several smaller meals throughout the day using bowls that work well for him. After eating, he gets a little upright cuddle time to help his food settle, which is certainly not a hardship for this professional snuggler! He may occasionally have some tummy upset, but overall his routine has become a normal and manageable part of his day.
Basil would love a calm home with a family who can continue the routine that has helped him do so well. A home where someone is around for much of the day would be especially nice. He has grown up around large, cat-friendly dogs and plenty of foster kittens, so he can also happily share his home with respectful furry friends.
Basil is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and has excellent litter box manners. Most importantly, he is an incredibly loving, resilient little guy who is ready to put his kittenhood challenges behind him and enjoy being someone's very spoiled best friend.
Could your lap be the one Basil has been waiting for?
