Basalt's Story
Meet Basalt, a beautiful 4.5-month-old (as of 1/3/26) medium-haired tabby with soft features and a gentle, thoughtful presence. She's a bit shy at first but is slowly and sweetly coming out of her shell. With wand toys, calm energy, and gentle movement, Basalt will begin to trust. Once she does, she rewards you with quiet purrs and tender cuddles in your arms.

Basalt would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands shy kittens who will blossom with time and consistency. She would do best adopted with one of her siblings, who help her feel secure and confident, and would likely be happiest in a calmer household where she can build trust at her own pace and continue growing into the affectionate companion she's meant to be.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with their initial age-appropriate vaccinations. Kittens have an adoption fee of $200 each or $300 for a bonded pair. Kittens must be adopted in pairs unless there is another young, energetic cat in the home. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
