Meet Barney!<br/><br/>This sweet, special 1 year-old boy came to us after he was trapped outside as a stray. Our vet believes that at some point he suffered a brain/spinal injury, affecting his coordination, balance, and motor skills. <br/><br/>We’ve noticed that Barney is pretty good with the litterbox. He has a tough time controlling his head, so he’s a bit of a messy eater. His default is to move or walk backward instead of forward, and he does appear to have some tremors. With his balance issues, he’s uncomfortable being picked up, so he needs to be supported in a very specific way so he feels safe.
