He was left behind after an eviction and spent some time outdoors before coming to the shelter. As a result, he’s an independent cat who is still adjusting to indoor life. Barney is food motivated, which is a great way to win his trust. He has lived with other cats and is curious about them, so he might do well in a multi-cat household. However, Barney is very cautious when it comes to people. He’s still a bit under-socialized, so he is not the cuddly, lap cat you might hope for right now, and it may take months for him to start seeking affection.
