Barbie's Story

Sweet, playful, affectionate—and with the cutest little bobtail! Meet Barbie!

Barbie is the kind of kitten who can make you smile just by watching her play. This adorable American Bobtail mix has a precious little short tail and a personality to match—sweet, loving, playful, and wonderfully social.

She loves racing around the living room with her siblings, chasing toys and showing off her kitten zoomies. But when playtime is over, Barbie has another favorite activity: climbing into your lap, curling up, and taking a cozy little nap. She absolutely loves people and enjoys the company of her kitty friends.

Barbie is one of five kittens who have grown up together in a loving foster home. Her brother Bobbie is also an American Bobtail mix with a darling short tail, and the two make an adorable pair. Barbie would love to have a playful feline companion in her forever home. She would be especially happy being adopted with a littermate, but she could also be a wonderful friend for your young, playful cat.

And an important note about Barbie’s siblings: CeCe, Tinkerbell and Jetson were born with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a non-contagious neurological condition that affects balance and coordination. CH is not painful, does not worsen over time, and these kittens can live happy, fulfilling lives. Her siblings have a mild case of CH. Barbie does not have CH and is not affected by the condition.

Barbie is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

This sweet little girl has so much love to give. She’s playful enough to keep you entertained, affectionate enough to melt into your lap, and friendly enough to make a wonderful feline companion.

Barbie is ready to trade her foster-home adventures for a forever home. Could that home be yours?

To meet Barbie and her siblings. Please complete our adoption questionnaire at www.southerncountiesrescue.org.. Barbie will be at our next event at PetsPlus, 416 E Ave Pico, San Clemente, Saturdays from 12 to 3.

A representative will then reach out to you and discuss the particular cat or kittens to determine if it is a good match. All cats and kittens are spayed neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for FELV/FIV and microchipped before placing. Adoptions in Washington are done on an appointment basis. In Southern California we do adoptions at Pets Plus in San Clemente most Saturdays and home adoptions by appointment. We encourage all applicants to complete our adoption questionnaire on our website because not all cats come to events. There is an adoption fee to help cover our costs.
