Bailey's Story

Bailey is a striking young cat (estimated 1–2 years old) with a soft spirit and a big heart. He was rescued from the streets after showing just how friendly and vulnerable he could be. This sweet boy would walk right up to strangers, hoping for food and affection. Thankfully, a kind feeder saw his potential and brought him indoors to safety.

Since settling into his foster home, Bailey has blossomed. He now seeks out head rubs and gentle pets from his foster mom, showing that trust and love are growing every day. He’s a model houseguest: impeccably clean with his litter box, never aggressive or destructive, and just a little bit shy at times.

Bailey’s favorite pastimes include lounging by the window to watch the world go by and chasing toys with kitten-like enthusiasm. His playful side shines once he feels safe.

Bailey will thrive in a calm, patient home where he’s given the time and space to adjust. The reward? A deeply loyal companion. On a personal note, my own cat was timid at first and it took a few weeks for him to settle in. Now, he is like Velcro, always by my side. There is something very special about adopting a cat like this and the bond that develops is nothing less than magical.

If you're ready to open your heart to a quiet, loving cat who just needs a little time to show you his sparkle, Bailey might be your perfect match.

The Lucky Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
We have a multi-step adoption process. While we try to process our adoptions as quickly as possible, our cats are very important to us, so we do our best to ensure they go to homes that will be the best possible fit for them. * Adoption application: we have a 1 page application, requesting landlord pet policy verification (if renting), personal references, and a veterinarian reference (if you currently have other pets) * Meet and greet: we ask that all members of the household meet the cat in person before adoption. This makes sure the cat is a good fit for everyone. * Home delivery: we will deliver the cat to you, and will help you get the cat settled in its new home! This also serves as a low-key "home check," so please be prepared to allow us inside the home. That will also make it more comfortable for all of us as we finish up the paperwork and walk you through your new cat's vet records! * Return policy: we will take any of our cats back at any time and for any reason. As part of our adoption contract, if you are ever no longer able to keep the cat, we expect the cat to be returned to us (please do not try to re-home them yourself). Due to our home deliveries and return policies, with rare exceptions we do not adopt to homes outside of New Jersey. Thank you for understanding.
