BAILEY's Story

Meet Bailey! Being 9 years old and shall we say...chonky...you might think he would be a perfect couch potato companion. But Bailey has other ideas in mind! At times sweet and affectionate, he loves spending time around his people, greeting visitors, and being the center of attention. Bailey also has a fresh side though, and is looking for a family who can keep up with his adventerous spirit. An adult only home where his people are excited to engage him in active play time and are savvy at reading cat body language is where this big guy will thrive. Sometimes in his excitement Bailey forgets the difference between toys and hands and has learned in the past that a nip or a swat will get him what he wants (hint, it's food). We're not sure how he'd do with other animals but with the right match and a slow transition it's possible he could have a cat or a dog friend. His age and size also mean he has some things his future adopter should keep an eye on with their veterinarian to make sure he can stay the funloving troublemaker for years to come. If you have a yen for a big orange boy with some cattitude, Bailey just might be the cat for you. He is hanging out behind the scenes at the Boston Adoption Center so visit and ask for him by name, or email cbourgoin@mspca.org for more info to see if you're a match.
