Baby's Story
There is something truly special about the soul of a mature cat, and Baby is the perfect example! At 9 years young, this beautiful dark long-haired tortoiseshell is looking for a compassionate adopter who understands that the best things in life are often worth a little wait. Baby is a gentle, affectionate lady who wants a quiet corner, soft conversation, and a kind hand to lead her into her golden years. To keep her gorgeous coat looking its best and prevent matting, Baby requires an adopter committed to a regular, frequent brushing routine. Fortunately, she genuinely enjoys being brushed, making groom time a wonderful way to bond with her! Baby is a sensitive soul who needs a patient, soft-hearted adopter to help her adjust. When moving into her new home, she will require a dedicated transition room (such as a spare bedroom or office) that does not have out-of-reach hiding spots, like under a bed or behind heavy furniture. Blocking off these deep hiding areas encourages Baby to use accessible, cozy safe spots like an open cat bed or covered crate. This helps prevent her from retreating into isolation, makes it easier for you to interact gently with her, and allows her to build trust and confidence much faster. Adopting an older cat like Baby comes with so many wonderful perks. She is long past the "zoomies" stage, preferring cozy naps over kitten chaos. With a mature cat, what you see is what you get--her sweet, mellow personality is fully formed. Once she feels safe in her environment, her lovely, tender nature truly shines. To help her feel completely secure, Baby is looking for a calm home where she can be your one-and-only pet, with either adults or quiet older children (ages 12 and up) who respect her peaceful vibe. You can make an appointment online to come in and meet this sweet lady! Baby's adoption fee is $200.

*To visit our cats, you must make an appointment on-line at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt.*

Note: While we are happy to respond to your questions about any of our cats, you will still be required to make an on-line appointment at www.caringforcatsmn.org/adopt if you wish to meet our cats.
