Meet Axel!<br/>This handsome boy is a 4 and a half year old neutered male Domestic Shorthair. Unfortunate circumstances led him to the shelter, but he is now looking for a forever home!<br/>Axel was surrendered to us through no fault of his own due to one of his human family members being allergic. They tried to make it work, but sadly they could not find a way to keep Axel. Axel is still pretty nervous at the shelter, and it's going to take some time for him to fully adjust. Axel had been with his previous owner since he was a kitten, and it can be overwhelming for cats to suddenly find themselves in a new situation. We've already been seeing Axel's true personality come out, though and with patience he will show you what a sweetheart he is!<br/>Axel has been around dogs, cats, and kids before, and has gotten along with them all! Of course, he will need time to adjust to any new family members before he feels fully comfortable. Small children especially should be supervised around him to make sure they aren't pushing his boundaries. Axel is declawed in his front paws - due to this, we will only be adopting him out to homes that will keep him strictly indoors for his own safety.<br/>Axel is litterbox trained and has received his first round of vaccinations. We're hoping he doesn't get overlooked due to his shy nature, and that someone is willing to take a chance on this poor guy!
