Axel's Story

Meet Axel Axel is a total lovebug who will absolutely melt in your arms. At around a year old, all he wants is to find his person (or people) to shower with affection. He came to us from an outdoor situation in Cortez after surviving a raccoon attack - and despite it all, he is incredibly sweet and trusting with people. Axel thrives on human connection. While he's slowly being introduced to other cats, we believe he would do best in a home where he can have space, attention, and a safe indoor/outdoor setup to match his comfort level. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be by your side, Axel is your guy.

Cat Care Durango's Adoption Policy

Until you have completed an adoption application and have been approved for adoption, our staff will not discuss adoption details regarding any particular cat with you. It may take 24-48 hours for your application to be processed, please be patient with us! You must be 21 years of age or older to be approved for adoption. Please be ready to provide a government issued picture Id. You must provide proof of address as well as your lease (if you rent), with pet policy included, and the phone number of your landlord. We support adopting kittens in pairs and offer a discount to encourage doing so.
