Hi, I'm Aviva! My name means 'Spring,' and it was given to me because I really needed a new beginning, like fresh blooming spring flowers, after experiencing some hardships in my life. <br/><br/>I'm about 4.5 years old. I was rescued from the Lancaster shelter in 2021 and have been brushing up on my social skills in foster care since then. But now, I really enjoy people so I am ready to find my forever home! <br/><br/>Besides being a stunningly gorgeous long hair siamese tortie-point with bright blue eyes, I also am quite the independent and quirky lady! I love to observe everything around me in great detail. I am especially interested in watching kittens play and occasionally joining in to play with them. I LOVE a comfy bed or a comfy chair. <br/><br/>If you are thinking of applying to adopt me, please note that I will probably take a little bit more time than a confident kitty would to feel safe and comfortable in my new surroundings. Please give me patience, because I really don't want to have to keep starting over in new places with new faces. We receive countless daily requests for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. Our main focus is to remove friendly cats from the streets, get them healthy and vetted in foster care, and find their purrrfect forever homes!<br/>We also focus on TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.<br/>When we can, we also pull deadlined cats from local high kill shelters.<br/><br/>If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.<br/>If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.<br/>Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community.
