AUSTIN's Story

Rescued from the outside, a kind woman brought me in after seeing me in the neighborhood for days not having a place to go to be safe. Unfortunately, her house cats and I could not share the same living space, she brought me to the shelter to continue my search for a home. I am a handsome tabby, about a year old. Friendly too. I am trying to be brave with all the new sounds and smells of the shelter, but sometimes i hide when I feel overwhelmed by the changes in my life.<br/>I need a cat experienced family who can give me time and patience...and a loving forever home. Taunton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

**PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET PETS AT THE SHELTER. 508-822-1463** Adopt a "best friend" for life! Please remember that dogs and cats of all ages need and deserve happiness, love, and a home. In return, they will love you unconditionally for all of your years together. We adopt to New England Residents only and require current/past veterinarian references. An application is REQUIRED to adopt an animal. Vet references will be checked, as well as references for those who rent. Adoption of an animal will be based on APPROVED applications only. We do not accept debit/credit cards. Payment must be check or money order with proper ID or cash. If submitting an application for a dog, please email it to rdanielczyk@taunton-ma.gov or gasman6637@icloud.com Dogs are $200.00 and cats are $165.00 (kittens up to 6 months are $185.00). This price includes the spay/neuter, rabies shot, and other required vaccinations.
