Austen's Story

Austen (2-3 years old)

Austen is a timid and gentle black cat with green eyes. He has been extremely shy at the shelter and has spent a long time hiding out and wondering what he’s doing in this place. Now, however, he is coming out of his shell and enjoys lying on a big, fluffy bed by the large window in his room. Quick movements and loud noises still make him uncertain, so a household that is calm and comforting would be best for Austen. While he is still unsure about being petted too much, he will let us gently pet and massage his neck and head. When noise or the world in general overwhelm him, he does need some hiding places so be sure to give him fluffy beds and cat caves. If you have a low-key and quieter home, you will no doubt be able to encourage Austen to be more confident and to learn that people will protect him. He would probably do best in a home without bouncy dogs and tiny children.

OK with Dogs
: Unknown
OK with Cats
: Unknown
OK with Kids
: Unknown
