Aurora's Story
Meet Aurora

Looking for your one and only queen of the castle? Aurora is your gal!

Miss Aurora is incredibly affectionate and very friendly - on her terms. She's the perfect mix of independence and affection-seeking. She offers the sweetest snuggles with a wonderful purr-engine, especially after a good meal - who doesn't love food time! These post-meal "thank yous" make her one of the most appreciative cats her foster mom has ever met and are so very special. (Check out the videos above for this snuggly, purring, love bug in action!)

Aurora loves wet food and head pets and enjoys the comfort of a calm, predictable routine. Aurora does well with the children (ages 7-14) in her foster home. Sudden movements can startle her, so Aurora would prefer a quieter home with older children. She needs to be an only cat but who would need another cat with lovely, snuggly Aurora! We are not sure how she would do with dogs.

When Aurora needs space or is not in the mood to snuggle, she'll give a clear, vocal warning to let you know. So she'll do best with an experienced cat adopter who understands that her hissing and growling-while sometimes intimidating-are protective responses shaped by past trauma. She was found abandoned in a rental unit, where she went without food or water for a full week!

Aurora is a true sweetheart and will be a loving companion for the family who gives her the love, calm patience, time to acclimate to new surroundings, and a peaceful place to feel safe again.

Her foster family welcomes home visits to meet Aurora where she is most comfortable.
