PLEASE READ ALL BELOW- NO CALLS BEFORE COMPLETING AN APPLICATION- We are located in Rockford, Illinois - we are willing to transport within 2 hours from Rockford <br/><br/>Auggie (August) came to our rescue about a month ago with his brother Alistair. He is 11 months old, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Auggie WILL ONLY GO to a home that we firmly insist will never let him outdoors. He is a little on the shy side, but will meow for attention and does love affection and petting. He's not comfortable with being picked up, so his adopter will have to be OK with this. He loves a cat tree by a window, and he loves his food! We feed Auggie a can of cat food at 8am, and another at 6pm, and will strongly advise his adopters to continue this for positive kidney health although adding a little dry food to at least one meal would also be helpful for teeth, and of course plenty of fresh water. If you have another cat, please note that Auggie does sometimes finish his food quickly and tries to go for another cats food, so feeding him separately might be a good idea. He would do best with a laid back, non aggressive cat<br/><br/>OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTING:<br/><br/>You must own your own home, OR IF you rent, you must be the primary tenant on the lease, you must be in your current rental for at least 1 year OR prior rental history needs to have been for at least 1 year, and must be verifiable and a positive rental history. Must have a verifiable, positive, consistent income. We ask this for placing our rescue animals in a stable home.
