Aulani's Story

Meet Aulani, a tortoiseshell, at our Sharonville location.

Back in June, we offered the opportunity to name four, six-week-old, female torties for a donation to our shelter. One of our volunteers, Amy, sponsored a kitten, naming her Aulani, Lani for short, as a connection to the Hawaiian vacation she had recently taken with her family.

Charming little Aulani is a loyal tortie, and she will follow you like a shadow. Lani gets along with the other cats in her room, so she would do well with one other cat or on her own. Like her siblings, who have all been adopted, Aulani has all the “tortitude” and kitten-energy you can imagine, and she is adept at climbing and leaping. Lani can be very entertaining, but she will need a home that has been kitten-proofed to keep her out of trouble.

Please consider making an appointment, at our Sharonville location, to see if Aulani would be the right fit for your home.

*Sharonville location
**Must be 21 or older to adopt
***Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter.
****Vaccinations up to date, spayed/neutered
*****Our adoption fee is $100.00

HEARTT Animal Refuge's Adoption Policy
All adoptions are by appointment only. We have two locations, Sharonville and Bridgetown, so please clarify who you would like to meet so we can set up the appointment at the correct location. Our adoption fee for both dogs and cats is $100 per animal. We have a policy to only adopt to individuals age 21 or older. Additionally, we only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to the shelter. All animals are spayed/neutered and vaccinated prior to adoption. We also give flea and dewormer treatments. Dogs are tested for Heartworm and cats are quarantined for 8 weeks prior to FIV/FeLV testing. Please see our list of adoptable dogs and cats or check our Facebook page at Facebook.com/HearttCincy. Not all of our animals are shown on Petfinder. Consider a "Senior" pet.....they really need love and a home to call their own in their senior years. We have a few beautiful kittens and many adult cats that are looking for you. Give us a call to enrich the life of a deserving dog or cat, as well as your own! All adoptions are made by appointment only. Email HaveAHeartt@yahoo.com to begin the process.
