I'm Athena, a sassy calico girl who acts and looks like a goddess. Found scrounging for food and abandoned in an apartment complex, I was rescued by a nice lady visiting a friend. I was eager for food and attention, and I'm now in search for my forever home! I am a bit slow to warm up at first, but once I do, I'm a total sweetheart. I like chin and neck rubs and will roll into head pets too. I can also be a bit spicy at times like a typical calico girl as I like to be in charge. But I will get along with other cats after proper introduction and time. Did someone say play?! Yes, I like to play too, climbing high on wall mounted shelves and up cat trees, leaping from place to place after string and wand toys. I can be a bit of a goofy gal and entertain from time to time. Pet Connect Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

Cats have a foster before Pet Connect enrolls them. Then they are dewormed, combo tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and sterilized. Fosters have the option every Saturday and Sunday to bring their adoptable cats to the adoption events at Petsmart. We need two volunteers at each event. Potential adopters look at cats, ask volunteers questions, fill out paperwork-which is then reviewed by the volunteers before they can take the cat home. We always tell them to return the cat back to the foster if it doesn't work out. Note: All of our animals are rescued, so age and breed are an approximation. We do our best to determine based on our experience and the advice of our veterinarian. We do not make any guarantees that the age or breed listed are the actual age or breed.
