Meet Athena<br/><br/>Athena is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to be snuggled. She's a bit shy at first but quickly warms up when she learns to trust (food and treats are a great motivator). She enjoys playing with toys and the company of other kitties so would do well in a home with another calm kitty. Athena loves people and is a staff favorite. She gets along great with other kitties and is just a sweet, quiet gem. She loves looking out of the window we often catch her looking out at us as we walk inside.<br/><br/>With Athena, you get a mixture of cat colors...She's like a white kitty whose tail got dipped in calico colors and a couple of random calico markings on her face. Absolutely stunning. But even more beautiful is how, once she learns to trust, she just purrs and snuggles. Because she's a little quiet, and we have some BIG personalities in our community cat room, Poor Athena is often overlooked by potential adopters. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters. The facility usually operates at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
