Athena's Story

Hi, I'm Athena! I'm a sweet 6 year old girl looking for a home where I can truly feel comfortable and confident. I do best with older, mellow kitties and would prefer a home without dogs. I think I'd also shine with older kiddos who understand how important it is to give me space when I need it. A calm home with a predictable routine and schedule would be just my cup of tea! I'm ready to find my forever family and settle into a life filled with love and happiness. Please come meet me to see if we're a purr-fect match at APF between 12-4:15, Tuesday-Saturday!!!

Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process. If you are looking to add an additional dog, we ask you to bring your dog to the shelter to meet the new canine companion. This may requ
