Astro 's Story

Meet Astro, a sweet and mellow guy looking for his ultimate sidekick. At a year old, he’s got the perfect balance of "chill" and "playful." He’s a big fan of his toys and loves hanging out with other cats, but he’s just as happy being a quiet companion to his favorite person.

Astro is a total shadow—he’ll walk right beside you as you move through the house and loves to curl up at your feet when it’s time to sleep. When he’s not busy being your best friend, you can usually find him window-gazing or waiting for his favorite treat (he isn’t picky, but he’s a sucker for wet food).

He’s a social butterfly who gets along great with kids, dogs, and other cats. Astro tested FIV positive, but that’s no reason to worry studies show FIV cats can live just as long as their non-FIV counterparts. FIV is a cat specific disease and is typically transmitted by unaltered male cats who tend to fight aggressively. Astro is a lover not a fighter and does quite well with other cats. Keep him indoors, and you’ll help him stay healthy and ready for whatever mischief tomorrow brings.

If you are interested in adopting this cat fill out our no-obligation application at www.missionforpaws.org/application

We do not do same day adoptions unless your application is approved beforehand. www.missionforpaws.org/application There is a $125 adoption fee. All of our cats are spay/neutered, tested for FiV and Feline Leukemia, fully vaccinated, treated for any parasites and microchipped. Fees are waived on our special needs and senior pets. Those can be discussed during the adoption process. Please note our kitten companion policy. At Mission for Paws we prefer that our kittens go to homes that already have a young companion animal or to a home willing to adopt two kittens. We feel it’s important for kittens to have playmates for good socialization and life enrichment. Happy well adjusted cats make better pets and increase the likelihood of a successful adoption and a permanent home.
