Hi, I’m Astrid! I’m a stunning black beauty with soulful eyes and a heart just as soft as her fur. Shy and a bit timid at first, I’m sure to blossom into the sweetest companion. Once I feel safe, my loving nature shines through. Born this past April and rescued alongside my siblings from a Royal Oak yard, I have grown into a healthy, happy, and confident young girl. I’m wonderfully independent, content doing my own thing, yet truly enjoys the company of my feline friends. I’m curious, playful, and quietly affectionate — the kind of cat who brings a calm, comforting presence into a home. I don’t demand attention, and am ready for a forever home that will let me be myself, give me some time to settle in, and you’re sure to love me for the gentle, happy soul I am. I would love to be adopted with one of my kitten friends—Tart, Lark, Peter, Lily, Hiccup, Tuff Nut,—or into a home with another friendly cat. Double the cats, double the warmth! Adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten, $195 for a pair of cats or kittens. Animal House of South East Michigan, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment. Our adoption fees are as follows: $155 for a single cat or kitten $195 for a pair of cats or kittens Please note that we do not do same day adoptions and all adoption fees are non-refundable. AHSEM treats every adoption as "foster to adopt" This means that the first two weeks in which you have the cat is the "foster period." We do our best to ensure the right match for all involved and want to give the cat(s) time to decompress and adapt to their new environment. However, we realize sometimes things don't work out as expected. Therefore, during that two-week period, if something doesn’t work out you can bring the cat back. We are also flexible if more time is needed to determine if its the right fit. We will always take our cats back even after the "foster to adopt" period. We would hate to see them end up at a kill shelter, abandoned, or any other unsafe situation.
